Mexico Friday...
Went to town for breakfast at around 9:30 am. The place we had intended to stop at looked like it had stopped serving breakfast, so we went downtown, where most places were just opening up for the day.
We ended up in Sr. Amigo's again, after an earnest young man asked if we were interested in breakfast and then brought us into a dining room where all of the chairs were still up on tables. Galina and I had a "Mexican combo" breakfast, consisting of an omlette with green pepper, onion, tomato, and cilantro, with some beans and mashed potatoes on the side.
Then we stopped by a real estate office to chat and ended up looking at a place in Las Conchas, just out of curiosity. After that, we had lunch at a place called Capone's Pizza & Beer, where we had a sandwich called El Diablo, with chicken breast and chipotle, which was indeed quite hot. I washed my half of the sandwich down with some Indio beer, which is my favorite now among Mexican beers, while Galina picked at her half of the sandwich (as she definitely does not like spicy food).
After returning to the hotel, I changed and went for a walk along the beach while Galina settled down to watch some television. I worked up enough nerve to wade into the Sea of Cortez up to my knees and then get completely wet. The water temperature was bracing, but not terribly cold.
The wireless that everyone seems to be piggybacking is erratic, so this post is being composed and posted using part of the hour I bought the other night. Time to logoff, before all of the time expires.
Cheers...
