Family dinner...
I spent much of the day in maintenance mode, managing to "process" about half the books that had been stockpiled in the garage. The Christmas stuff also went back into long-term storage.
It was an afternoon for napping, and I almost didn't leave enough time for the final touches for dinner (though I did have the foresight to put a pot roast into the slow cooker in the morning and make up a batch of dough for bread, which was ready by dinner time). The tricky part was putting together an apple tart, especially since I find one cannot do much of anything else while stirring caramel. In the end, however, everything came out okay, including the home-made whipped cream.
Today was Natalie's 30th birthday. Time sure does fly.
