A really quiet couple of days...

I didn't have much to say yesterday, and between that and watching an episode of the BBC series based on the fictitious character of Richard Sharpe created by Bernard Cornwell (which took me way past midnight) the time just slipped away.

Today was largely a repeat of yesterday, except for the time.

I got a bunch of stuff done, and there's yet more on the plate that needs attending to this weekend.

And I have got a serious pileup of educational videos to watch, as well..,

One of the serious players in the audio book market is Audible.com, which is now owned by Amazon.

The service allows you to download books as files with an .aa extension, which are then only playable using the Audible software or iTunes (and by extension, on associated iTunes devices) on machines that have been "authorized." When that works, it works; when it doesn't (I've had it happen to me while in Kazakhstan), it's really frustrating.

There had been hopes, when Amazon bought Audible, that the DRM would go away, but that hasn't happened (and barring some kind of customer uprising, probably won't).

Cheers...

I think that's the format of the files that my friend sent me. However, I can't seem to find where I filed them. Ahem.
