An intriguing popup ad...

I typically dismiss popup ads - and usually with a grumbled curse - but one for a Viennese ball in Moscow in June caught my eye, though I know better than to click on it.

"First time in 200 years!" notes the ad. Dress is tails, tux, or full-dress uniforms for the gents; full-length evening gowns for the ladies.

Tickets start at only $900.

Yikes!

I think I want to go. <grin>

(Of course, getting there from here - and back - would cost as much. At least. Per person.)

Cheers...

With apologies to E. A. Poe...

Here's the postman with the bills-
Monstrous bills!
What a world of misery their very sight instills!
How they muster, muster, muster,
On the surface of my desk!
While my funds, they do not cluster
And accounts have lost their luster
And do now appear grotesque;
Writing checks, checks, checks,
To my very last kopecks,
With a tempo and a frenzy that so arctically chills:
Pay the bills, bills, bills, bills,
bills, bills, bills-
Pay the past due, growing new queue of the bills!
Guess what I did today?

It wasn't so bad, actually, but it's going to be a close month.

Cheers...
