Not much going on at all...

Most of the day seemed to be focused on Karen and Mike coming over in the evening, or at least getting food ready for dinner.

I learned that adding heavy cream to mushroom soup seems to "amplify" the taste of the mushrooms severalfold.

I learned that parboiling an onion requires more time if I want an end product that is limp yet still crunchy.

I learned that heating a prepackaged foil bag of garlic bread doesn't work so well on a barbeque grill, even if the latter is set to its lowest setting.

Dinner was very enjoyable, though, both from the perspective of the food and the company.
