Gotta love politicians...

From BNO News (via Adjix), quoting NYC Mayor Bloomberg on proposed marriage equality legislation:
“Our State has always stood up for individual freedoms. In keeping with that proud tradition, I believe New York should become the next state to permit same-sex marriages. As I’ve said before, I do not think that government should be in the business of telling us who we can and cannot marry."
Funny, I thought the purpose of the proposed law - and others like it - was for government to specifically spell out who can marry who in the Empire State.

Moreover, I wonder what the reaction of New York State might be should a certain 50-something-year-old Saudi citizen (referenced in this article) decide to visit The Big Apple with his 8-year-old wife?

Cheers...

More of the same...

But as of now, I have a definite gig starting next week.

Hoo. Rah.

I underwent a bit of retail therapy today, acquiring a 1956 version of Glenn Gould's Goldberg Variations via iTunes.

It was the least I could do.

Cheers...
