The sun!

Yesterday's "winter storm warning" made it pretty clear that the higher elevations would get hit overnight with between 2 and 4 feet of snow, and that snow would start falling at our level this morning.

I can't speak for the mountains, but up in our neck of the woods (7780 feet), the snow has been pretty light so far, and a few moments ago, the sun broke through the clouds.

We will continue to keep our fingers crossed for a moderate dusting.

Cheers...

Oh, the wind!

It's hard to remain on the windward side of the house—alas, the side where our bedroom is located—because of the continuous howling and the air leakage that occurs when 50-mph wind hits ordinary weatherstripping. We shall, I suppose, muddle through.

We watched The Bucket List earlier this evening and I liked it more than I expected I would. I was particularly struck by something said in the opening narration, about how people measure themselves
Me, I believe you measure yourself by the people who measure themselves by you.
Now that seems rather profound, but in the end, I don't think it's valid. People that others measure themselves by are oblivious to it, instead gaging themselves by some internalized ruler, whether they are Mother Teresa or Richard Cory.

I've been tired all day, and only recently have begun to entertain the idea that I've been not quite at 100% for the better part of the past couple of days. I think a good night's rest is in order.

Cheers...
