RIP Erika Soria Molina

As the Costa Concordia was going down, Erika Soria, a ship's waitress of Peruvian origin, apparently spent the last few minutes of her young life helping passengers into lifeboats and, according to a post at Chicago Boyz, was last seen giving her life jacket to an elderly passenger.

My sadness at learning that a person like Erika has died is greatly tempered by being reminded, and at the same time grateful, that such a person has lived!
