Dear Adobe...

Developers of so many other commercial applications have figured out how to close a file in such a way that you can do something to it, like rename it, or move it and not be blocked by the operating system, which reports that the farblegargling file is still open.

Why do I know it's your app that's the culprit?

Well, if I exit Acrobat, and then go in and terminate all three farblegargling Adobe processes you apparently insist on running in the background, voilĂ , the operating system starts to treat the closed file as... wait for it!... closed!

Cheers...

Security question "checkpoints"...

Another instance of an online account suddenly asking "security questions" that were never set up. The reaons I know they were never set up is because I routinely lie in my answers (and since I have to keep very close track of my fictitious answers, it's pretty easy to tell if I've set up such answers for a given account).

Fortunately, the site in question, without admitting anything, simply subjected me to the usual battery of identity-verification questions, after which my security questions were "reset," allowing me to cook up yet another batch of fiction.

Grrr.

Cheers...
