Another data point...
It turns out that I generally feel pretty good on days following taiji, but it's hard for me to devote that much time every day. That said, maybe I should make time, considering the alternative.
Some months ago, I bought a Jinhao fountain pen on eBay because the price was too good to pass up—something like two bucks, which included shipment from China. This evening, after an attempt to refill a Pilot "V pen" failed (the failure may just be temporary, but I've refilled this particular pen so many times, maybe it finally just gave up the ghost), I filled the Jinhao, which works fine.
So well, in fact, that—in my opinion—it does a better job of flex writing than a Pilot Falcon I tested at Dromgoole's a few months ago.
Another data point—I generally feel pretty tired after coming home from taiji, too. :)
