Almost one of those moments...

I did manage to get some painting done yesterday before calling it a day and returning to the house. This morning, before I set off for the Webster house to meet the fellow who was going to help me paint, I received a translation assignment with the rather vague instruction to get it done "as soon as reasonably possible." The job comprised seven files, and though I didn't have enough time to get a feel for how large they were before I had to leave the house, I figured I wouldn't have been asked to jump on them right away if they were sizeable.

My dilemma was solved by my "helper" offering to do the entire job on his own, and while I'm sure it never crossed his mind, I (on the other hand) could not help but recall one of those signs you might catch sight of occasionally at car repair shops, stating a rate of, say, $35 per hour, or $45 per hour if you want to watch, or $60 per hour if you want to lend a hand.

In any event, once I was able to examine the files, I found 2-3 days worth of work (which is now pretty much solidly just two days of work).

It's been a long day, and I'm a bit tired. Time for some rack drill.

Cheers...
