I finally stopped working around 12:30 am this morning. Apparently, when I skipped over some of the figures in this last piece (a.k.a., TNP-3), there was generally a good reason to leave it for later. Unfortunately, I also underestimated just how many of these figures I skipped. I'd put 45 pages "behind" me by the time I went to sleep.

I went to the store early today to fix an imaginary computer problem, and am working here to finish TMP-3 by 10 am, at which time I'll go pick up mail. I've done half of what remains to be done in about 50 minutes. If this continues, I'll even have time to check some finances... I want to make sure scheduled payments get made.

In the cold grey light of morning, my predicament can be summarized by something I heard in the Marines, albeit with a lot more linguistic, um, decoration:

Poor planning produces predictable, preventable problems.

It's terrible alliteration, but the meaning is true. I should probably have that engraved on a plaque and set on my desk, but after I finish the edit.

Cheers...
