Actually living in Francophonie now, I marvel at just how many really incredible films are put out in French. I also marvel equally at the choices made by studios as to which get released to the rest of the world. Even some of the cheesy policiers like Jean Reno's latest-Wasabi (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0281364#comment) are better cinema than what hits the anglophone art houses.
