Made it!
I am genuinely surprised. For a couple of hours there, this afternoon, I was struggling along at a mere 250 words per hour or so, cursing my idiotic penchant for jinxing my own work ("This document is so well written"), and then cursing my idiotic penchant for believing in jinxes.
(I should change that to: "Parts of this document are well written.")
But I successfully reached my second checkpoint, and there are five more like it before this project is finished.
After which I have another project lined up, so at least this month won't end up looking like last month. :^)
* * * The ham breakfast today was a pleasant diversion, as usual, although I was half-asleep when I arrived. The folks down at the "other" end of the table (the end that fills up first) were busy, as usual, discussing current local events, such as the tempest surrounding the trials and tribulations of the local medical clinic. Down at my end (I always seem to arrive late), the conversation tended to center on some current events and - wonder of wonders - ham radio!
It's late. I'm tired. And tomorrow is another day, in more ways than one!
Cheers...
