Hey! What do you know...?
It appears that Harry Browne, Libertarian Party candidate for President, will appear on NBC's Meet the Press this Sunday, along with Bill Bennett, Jesse Jackson, and some others. Hearing Browne speak should be interesting, if his written position papers are any indication. It also might be nice to see what this guy looks like, seeing how coverage of his campaign is very, um, spotty.
I am curious to see just how well Nader and Browne do in the Bush-Gore environment. Between the two of them, I'd expect to see 6-10% of the popular vote (but zero electoral votes, unless an elector defects the way one did in 1972 and casts a vote for the Libertarian candidate anyway). So very few commentators seem to like the choices put forward by the major parties; when they do speak of voting for one man or the other, it's almost as if they're actually talking about voting against the other scoundrel.
Vote Libertarian!
Cheers...
