The a/c guy can only come tomorrow. We think, based on what I found after cleaning off the poplar pollen, that the fan burned out. Unfortunately, thunder in the distance (and lack of a sufficiently long extension cord) prevents jerry-rigging one of our fans in place to see if it'll do the job.

I need to put stuff together for a night at the Motel 6, methinks. The heat is incredible.
