It ain't as easy as it looks...maybe.
I may not be the most observant fella around, but I've noticed the recent departure of sanssouci and now, of velocity, and I wonder: Why?
These are, of course, two data points, and there may well be others I do not know of who have graced the LJ server (server farm?) with verve and have subsequently departed, but the phenomenon calls into question the apparent simplicity of the whole LJ concept.
I'm just pushing some thoughts around on phosphor right now, between comm passes, and there's not enough time to devote to any deeper analysis right now, as the next pass is starting...almost...as...I...type.
Cheers...

I understand Sans is also around under another name due to some pressure at home. I know several people who have changed journals because they've had problems with people from their "real" life reading their journals. Since that problem can be dealt with using all the Friends Groups that are available now I'm not sure why they change names.
It can be confusing. I just had a new name show up in my Friends Of list, and I had no idea who it was. It turned out to be a friend who had deleted her journal for unknown reasons and started again under a new name and new "country." I don't understand, but it's good to see her back. Which reminds me - I better go and change my bookmark for her journal ;)

Ah, well. It's good to see he is still here.
Best wishes for the New Year.
