Virus city...

I have recently noticed a sharp increase (up from zero) in the number of viruses I've been getting as I fetch mail using my Windows-based notebook computer. Is this somehow associated with sweeps month?

Seriously, is it just me, or are viruses becoming as ubiquitous as spam on the Internet?

Cheers...

I have noticed the same thing, I haven't gone more than three days without a virus warning in my e-mail. Being the computer-paranoid that I am I spend a few hours every couple of days checking out my systems for freaky changes and virus-like symptoms.

Having an internal network and a roommate who's about as interested in safe-surfing as he is about other should-be safe activities makes me nervous that a virus could pop over from one of his files or e-mails.

Your note that viruses are as commonplace as SPAM is becoming more and more true, I think.

Sadly, I think it's going to get worse before it gets better.
