It ain't working...

My translation memory program of choice is Wordfast, simply because I like it and because the resulting data files don't require a license to open (I mean, it's my data). I still have Trados installed, though, for those clients who insist on getting translation memory files in that format.

Trados used to use Alt+KeypadPlus as its "close current segment and get next segment" keyboard shortcut (anyone who still uses a mouse to do this is really a greenhorn); Wordfast uses Alt+DownArrow for the same action.

Guess what the latest version of Trados uses? Yep. Alt+DownArrow.

So guess which .dot file I moved out of the default startup directory? (Hint: It ain't Wordfast.)

I'm just curious: Why the change? An attempt to put users in a "choose us or them" situation?

Cheers...

Nah, "Set/Close Next Open/Get" is now Alt+DownArrow, just like Wordfast.

Cheers...
