One lucky sumofthebits...

I noticed that my VAIO was running a little hot, and upon lifting it off my desk and blowing into the CPU vent, was greeted by a faceful of dust.

I grabbed my trusty new can of "Blow-Off" and blew some in gingerly through the vent, figuring the stream of gas would clean out some more dust and help cool down the system.

Instead, it caught fire.

Literally.

What I hadn't noticed was the warning on the side of the can saying "Extremely flammable!"

I was so busy trying to blow the fire out, I didn't notice the neat singe job the flames were doing to eyebrows and arm hair.

I hate the smell of burnt hair.

Cheers...

I'm sorry, but that's a really funny picture ;) Just a few days earlier, in San Jose, a friend also had an incident (http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?itemid=5641495) .

Well, I am sure that, had I been standing next to myself, I would have laughed my fool head off as I reached for the fire extinguisher.

As it turns out, though, it looks like everyone is gonna pull out of this with no long-term scars.

Cheers...

I'll have to warn my friend with the Vaio that they're explosive ;)

well i hope you were not too badly singed.

take care, as you probably already know even minor burns can get infected. also hope the vaio isn't fried either.

be safe young man...
