Friday frenzy...
In my, uh, copious spare time, I've been reading about Zoe Francois and Jeff Hertzberg's technique for making "artisan bread" with minimum fuss. As one who is tired of forking over $4-$5 a loaf for bread that tastes like it's made of cotton wadding and recycled packing peanuts, I tried their recipe.
For a first try, it's not bad. The loaf is about 7 inches in diameter, and quite tasty. The game was worth the candle!

In other news, the Phalaenopsis orchids have really gone full speed ahead! Beautiful!
