A soupçon of OMG...

There is something fundamentally evil about embedding a =TODAY() function call in an Excel spreadsheet that's intended to serve as an electronic version of a dated document.

It does make it a bit difficult to figure out the original, intended, and proper date of said document.

Ah, well. Such concerns are above my pay grade. I hope the end client likes my footnote.

People often use it as a template for something that's supposed to be a printed document, then forget to take it out of any corresponding electronic version. Ahem. Me. ;)

so many things are above one's pay grade. i'm doing the 1000-word menu for a fish restaurant for about 5 hours by now. all italian, french and whatnot. that's sweet, i say. the moment you think the last project was hell, here comes a brand new torture.
