Botkin Hospital, Day 3
I am on a fairly restricted regimen this weekend, with doctor's orders to stay in my room and confine my activities to reading, watching television, writing, and napping. Fortunately, I had asked Alla to bring my iPad to me, which addresses quite a number of said activities. The Kindle application holds enough unread books to keep me occupied for a while, and between unwatched movies, YouTube clips, and course material on video, as well as a couple of games, there is no way I can remain bored.
It also occurred to me that I could try out the wifi "hotspot" capability of my local cell phone and therefore use my iPad for emails and LJ posts. The setup seems to work, although downloading app updates does not appear feasible.
All for now...

As it turns out, I didn't. My eye is actually much better. However, as far as why I am here, further deponent saith not.
Thanks for the get-well wish!

It has to be especially frustrating to be on the verge of going home again, and then being stuck in a hospital of all places. :(

The call to not go to the airport and call the paramedics was a tough one. That said, I comfort myself with the thought that, no matter how frustrating it might be to end up in a hospital instead of a flight home, it's scads more preferable to potentially being carried off a flight on a stretcher.
Cheers...
