Getting the message across...

It's interesting how sometimes no amount of communication will get the message through. Cassandra had this problem, though I'm not comparing myself to her.

Client M sent me two files that were identical, in both content and... (big clue)... name! I noted this in e-mails on the 16th and 19th. I then mentioned the fact in the course of at least two phone conversations.

Today, when they found out I'd never received the "other" file... they finally figured it out.

Oh, well... better late than never.

I reviewed client R's work with the project manager this morning by phone, after which we chatted (while I was driving to the store) about what it takes to be an interpreter. Some of her counterexamples were almost as harrowing as mine.

Galina decided to go to Farmington and visit the Sam's Club there, which left the store in the gentle hands of Drew and Brady. I figured I'd have about 3 hours of time in which to work, and I was right. After closing the store, I went home and cleaned the garage a bit and moved some stuff around (and out of) my office.

Dinner was salmon over rice, with not enough wine.

Je suis très fatigué.

Cheers...
