Waiting for me to go...

Somehow, I end up the only person ready to open the store at the appointed hour, so here I am. In about 30 minutes, I'll have to go home to get Galina, change, have her drive me back here, and then leave for my cardio appointment in Durango. I love exciting mornings like this.

I weigh 236 this morning, and my blood pressure reflects this. About the only silver lining around this cloud is that this reflects a loss of 5 pounds or so from my peak, which I attained during the visit to my parent's house.

Constant (suffering) readers will recall that controlling my weight was one of my affirmations this past January, along with a number of other high-falutin' goals that mostly went ignored in the day-to-day.

I have made such affirmations for the past few (three?) years, with middling to mediocre success. I am thinking that -- for the upcoming year -- I shall take a lesson from my old juggling pals: learn to manage a small number of objects first!

So I will be giving thought between now and New Year's as to how I can winnow my grandiose list down to three or four items and then REALLY CONCENTRATE ON THOSE IMPROVING MY LIFE IN THOSE AREAS IN 2005.

Sorry for the shouting.

I think I will stop off at Feht's on the way back from Durango later this morning.

Cheers...
