On the road, finally!

Hmmm... My attempt to post by email at around 10:15 am errored out. Let's try again:

I awoke at 5 am, but my heart wasn't in it. Natalie had spent most of the night installing World of Warcraft on my oldVAIO (which boots now that I've removed the PCMCIA card) and Galina sleeps poorly to begin with.

Right now, I'm waiting for Galina outside a local Sam's Club, where we filled up with gas (and where, apparently, the urge to shop remains strong.

How I would love to get on the highway!

Lots oftraffic, little progress. Still, it's Christmas, so I'm going to work on nurturing some of that spirit.
