P.S. My second attempt also fizzled, as I ended up sending it to myself instead of LJ (the first effort failed because my BlackBerry address was not among the "approved" addresses in my profile).
I awoke at 5 am, but my heart wasn't in it. Natalie had spent most of the night installing World of Warcraft on my old VAIO (which boots now that I've removed the PCMCIA card) and Galina sleeps poorly to begin with.Lots of traffic on I-45 northbound, little progress. Still, it's Christmas, so I'm going to work on nurturing some of that spirit.
Right now, I'm waiting for Galina outside a local Sam's Club, where we filled up with gas (and where, apparently, the urge to shop remains strong.
How I would love to get on the highway!
