ATA, Day 1...
Today was the first full day of the conference. By the time I arrived for the keynote session, there was standing room only, and even most of the space along the walls had been "taken" by attendees.
The Greiss lecturer was thought-provoking, though in the end I had difficulty discerning the overall point he was trying to make.
The Slavic Language Division held its traditional dinner this evening at a place called the Red Square Euro Bistro, where I was called upon to propose general toasts. The quality of the food was exceeded only by that of the company.
