Cry havoc!

After two days spent in relatively restful contemplation and chipping away at translating Feht's project, the floodgates of work didn't just open this morning, they simply dematerialized and let what may flow in.

So much so that my keister is well and truly submerged and I'm on the cusp of having to quote an outrageously long deadline, relatively speaking, for my next client.

Then again, Christmas only comes once a year.

Cheers...

To Albuquerque—and back!

The weather cooperated on the ride down to Albuquerque, and pretty much all the way back. Naturally, the nasty part was the last couple of hundred yards, during which the chains were stripped off the tires, leaving the car halfway up the driveway.

(If I had a dollar for each time vehicles have gotten stuck on the driveway in winter—I could probably buy a nice bottle of single malt whisky!)

Anyway, I picked up Natalie in Albuquerque, whereupon we made a fast run to a Sam's Club for some victuals, and also stopped at a Trader Joe's in Santa Fe on the way home. It was my first ever visit to a Trader Joe's, and I found it to be an interesting store, particularly the small table in the wine department that was offering customers tastes of two kinds of port. I'm sure something like that would simply not fly in Colorado.

Despite the fact that Natalie drove back up to Pagosa, I am hugely tired (probably the result of hauling groceries from down the driveway up to the house). I have a pile of work I must dig into tomorrow morning, so I better get some rest.

Cheers...
