A declared holiday…

This morning, I cleared the decks of all immediate assignments, and then around lunch Galina and I went all the way across town to the international airport to pick up Hitomi, who together with Takao used to rent the house.

What should have been a simple there-and-back turned into something a lot longer, thanks to bureaucracy, but everything turned out well in the end.

Moreover, I feel confident that ours is the only house in the development with cat litter made from tofu byproducts!

I am feeling a little achy, with a scratchy throat. I hope it's nothing serious.
