Pleasant weather...
Around these parts, I've become used to the kind of weather in which "hot" is everywhere, no matter where you might be outside of an air-conditioned space. Today, however, when I stepped out of the sun into the shade of the house, I could not help but notice how much cooler it was in the shade, and a slight breeze made it cooler still.
I kind of enjoyed that.
I managed to finish putting down sod in an area next to the patio and garage that had become brown and thin, mostly because of Shiloh stopping to relieve herself there. I had put down 5 pieces of sod several weeks ago, to take care of the most seriously affected area, but it became clear that about twice as much more square footage needed help.
I asked Galina to get 10 pieces of sod; she got 12. And although the dozen would have taken care of the area I had in mind, Galina added a strip to the affected area, making 12 pieces insufficient.
That's the way it is with sod, I guess.
* * * Invoices went out today, and yes, the use of the plural form of the word is correct. Work really picked up over the last 10 days of the month.
