I am sitting here, trying to get to a point where there will be less than 1,000 words left for me to translate tomorrow morning, when it occurred to me that I was hearing the distant howling of canines, not unlike what I used to hear in Colorado.
I was not the only creature in the house to register a response. Shiloh uttered some kind of vocalization that was not quite a bark, but she heard some kind of message.
Where in the heck do such kinds of canines come together in this part of the world, which has been so incredibly developed, I wonder.
That wondered, I am at 939 words left to go. I shall work until the next section heading, and then hit the rack.

Coyotes? We have them in the suburbs of Cincinnati! We occasionally hear them yowl. One time we saw one roaming in the movie cinema parking lot! AW
