A pox on organizations that insist on forcing one of those cute phone numbers that spell a word or phrase (as in: 1-800-EAT-THIS) down your throat, without also indicating what the number is, in numbers.

I can dial numeric numbers without looking at the keypad. I must look at the keypad - with those tiny letters - to dial words.

Bah. Humbug.

I completely agree. I have to translate them to actual numbers before I punch them in. I hate translations on the fly ;)
