Mad about recycling...

My folks -- my dad especially -- spends a lot of time sorting the recyclables. Bottles are separated from newspapers, etc. I am given to understand this is some kind of requirement in this jurisdiction.

However, while waiting for my finished translation to upload (slow connection, but... any port in a storm, y'know), I happened to catch sight of the truck coming by to pick up the recyclable trash.

Can someone explain why -- after it has been almost lovingly sorted into separate containers -- the trash people dump it all in one truck compartment?

No matter. I don't make the rules in this burg.

And besides... my translation is gone! (Does a little dance!)

Do you suppose that your dad _knows_ all his effort is wasted?? Do you suppose you and he might launch a minor assault on the Mayor's office, where you can vouch for having seen locality rules dismissed as 'trash'?

Do you suppose that I should just butt out??
