In Moscow...
Well, I made it to Moscow without any problem. The same cannot be said for my luggage, which is still in Denver!
Fortunately, I had the foresight to stage some items ahead of time with my sister-in-law, including a couple of changes of underwear, a sweater, a pair of sneakers, and a bottle of gin.
In short, all the essentials of life.
We are scheduled to be out on the street tomorrow at oh-dark-thirty for the trip to the airport. I have no idea how my bag will catch up with me, but I am told I am not the first person this has happened to, and that successful reunions have been effected in the past.
I remain hopeful.
In other news, I have a number of emails to respond to offering work. The ol' cup runneth over, big time.
Frankfurt was a depressing airport. As I walked from the B concourse to the A concourse to catch my final connection to Moscow, I noticed a peculiar pattern in the floor tiles that I noticed some years ago, which depressed me then. The lighting was muted, as well.
Duty free was the same-old, same-old stuff, except more expensive. An Apple iPod Photo cost about 750 euros, or more than $800. (What a deal!)
It's getting late, and I need to get to sleep. Travel day tomorrow.
Cheers...
