I got paid by my French client, and the good news is that the bulk of the amount owed is paid; the bad news is that the March invoice for about $40 remains unpaid (although technically, since the payment is not tied to any particular job, one can argue that all but about $40 of the most recent job has been paid).
I also went to see the lawyer who set up the wills for my folks, and we had an interesting, if unsettlling, conversation.
Then again, at least I have an idea of where I'm headed, even if it looks like a brick wall.
