Atlanta noon...
Jan. 24th, 2009 02:28 pmThe flight from Albuquerque was aided by a 90-knot tail wind, courtesy of the jet stream, so we got into Atlanta a little earlier than expected. I slept for most of the way. Having arrived at Hartsfield for what seems the umpteenth time, I can walk the route from gate to gate very nearly blindfolded: down to the center of the concourse (typically A), down the escalator to the shuttle train, out to concourse E, and then back up for air.
Back at Albuquerque, out at "my" end of the B concourse, there's a long work desk and a charging station with a few dozen closely spaced outlets. Here at the food court in concourse E, there are several "bars" where you can similarly plug in your laptop and use free WiFi, just as in Albuquerque (except that attempts to connect to webmail sites like Fastmail and Gmail are consistently interrupted).
Time to go see if I can get into the Delta lounge to meet with the folks I'll be working for.
Cheers...
