Under the wire...

alexpgpI managed to complete and send off The Monster a few minutes ago, along with an invoice for it and other recent work. The numbers for the month, which looked so dismal at the midpoint, actually look pretty spunky about now.
As it is likely that I'll be going back to Pagosa soon, leaving Galina all alone in this urban jungle, we took the opportunity to go by Sam's Club to pick up a Garmin dashboard GPS unit that was priced below our "psychological" breakpoint of $100. We had first tried to pick one up at the Sam's at I-45 and Eldorado, but they were sold out.
Helpfully, they mentioned that the Sam's down in Texas City had about 3 dozen in stock, so we motored down I-45 for a bit and got one in Texas City. I mounted it while Galina filled up on cheap gas ($2.34 per gallon at the Sam's in Texas City). I helped minimally as Galina set it to bring us back home (actually to an address in our development that is not our own... for the sake of security), and then followed its instructions.
I need to go back to Pagosa primarily so Galina can concentrate on getting the properties cleaned (hard to do with a dog and 2 cats in the house) and more important: rented. There are also things that need doing in Pagosa, besides my usual employment.
It's been a long day. I need some rest. Tomorrow is gonna be wild.
