Groundhog Day...
Feb. 2nd, 2011 07:42 pmPunxsutawney Phil apparently made his Facebook followers and Twitter minions a bunch of very happy campers by not seeing his shadow today, which supersition—good old supersition (what would we do without it?)—tells us is a harbinger of an early spring.
The poor shluffs up in Denver have been having to deal with sub-zero (Fahrenheit) temperatures ranging down to what I sometimes call the "math-free" temperature (minus 40, where the Celsius value equals the Fahrenheit value). We down here in the vicinity of the Four Corners have been fairly lucky this season, with snow falling mostly at elevations above our own rather lofty 7800 feet. It's still not sunbathing weather, though. ;^)
A modicum of work crossed my desk today, and conversations were held. I now barely notice the fatigue in my legs as I stand at my computer (although said fatigue does make itself readily apparent whenever I sit down!).
Time to go take it easy. The day's been longer than I think, I'll wager.
Cheers...
