There's not enough time...!

The plan for today was to attend "root cause" training at JSC, but that fell through when it became evident that this was a trial run of something they hope will turn out to be a real class, not to mention it would be heavily oriented toward safety issues, not simply quality. We were the only people who, in the course of introductions, mentioned anything at all about "ISO." In principle, the techniques and tools used to identify the "real" cause of problems (hence the term "root cause") should be applicable to our shop as well, but at the first opportunity, my companion and I decided to bug out and decide later on how useful this class might be, based on as-yet unseen handout materials.

That added a whole day to my schedule, which I stretched to about 6 pm, unfortunately, but things needed to get done. At least I have a laptop to take with me, so that I don't have to panic over how I'm to put together my presentation in PowerPoint.

If I am to meet Galina at the airport (located halfway across Texas, it seems), I'll have to leave here no later than 9:15, about an hour and a quarter from now. Pretty much everything is ready, except I have to put some finishing touches on the kitchen and then get packed for my trip tomorrow. I get to leave for the same airport around 9 am tomorrow, and I don't want to spend "welcome home" time ironing shirts, if you get my drift.

If all goes well, I'll be in Orlando tomorrow afternoon. The hotel is apparently located on the Disney properties, somewhere, not that Mickey Mouse or his cohort are anywhere on the agenda or in my plans. Hmm, just reviewing the reservation confirmation I notice that the hotel in Orlando requires three days notice if you're going to cancel...and these are pretty expensive rooms. (Better not miss that plane tomorrow!)

Ah, well, no time to ruminate now. Gotta run!
