Only four more days of this...
Nov. 3rd, 2000 07:24 amWhen the Washington Times published a report a couple of weeks ago suggesting that Al Gore may have violated U.S. law when he kept information from Congress about Russian assistance to Iran to build its nuclear program, the Gore camp denied the charge, questioned the timing of the report, and the whole story got maybe 30 seconds of coverage total among the major networks.
This Bush DWI thing, on the other hand, seems to be the most important item on this morning's news. "Why didn't he disclose this long ago?" asked Diane Sawyer a short time ago, of George Stephanopolous.
One report I read said that the Portland, Maine reporter who broke the story said she got the tip from a Gore delegate, who said that an attorney had mentioned the incident inside a local courthouse and just happened to have the file in a parking lot nearby.
Amazing how dirty and biased people will get over candidates who basically represent the Tweedledum and Tweedledee position.
Vote Libertarian!
Cheers...
