The endless shift...
Dec. 26th, 2000 02:45 pmI must be pining for that day off tomorrow more than I realize, because it seems to me that today's air-to-ground shift has been going on forever.
The repeated docking with the Progress went off before Leonid and I came on shift, and the day's comm has pretty much been spent with the crew trying to communicate to the ground some of its frustrations with the inventory management system and with the way that messages are sent to the station.
It seems that both Moscow and Houston are a little slow on the uptake, or at least that's my interpretation of what's going on. I do know that two additional comm sessions have been arranged close to the crew sleep time to give the crew a chance to discuss some issues with an IMS specialist here in Houston. I went into the FCR a few minutes ago to offer my US$0.02 on what went on during the most recent comm pass; dunno if it made any difference.
Anyway...back to work....the continuation of that pass is less than 6 minutes off...
Cheers...
