Wouldn't you know...

It turns out that The Legend of Bagger Vance started life out as a book that was turned into a movie. I've gone through only the first five pages and I'm hooked.

Now, to find the time to read the rest of the book.

The translation is done and gone, about a half day early. Good news.

I'm 75% of the way through my (short) list of to-dos for the day, and am about halfway through the last task, which is to compile a quick-and-dirty (but professional-looking) newsletter for the store that will tell of the upcoming postal rate increase, introduce me and Galina formally, and tell customers of our new services.

Which tells me... I've got to drop this and go back and finish it. I'd like to get it all printed and distributed tomorrow. Later... (maybe).

Cheers...

Mommy! My balloon got stuck in some trees...

On the way to work today (that's twice in a row on foot), I happened to find myself in a peculiar geometry with some trees and a local ballooning enthusiast. I've never been in a hot-air balloon, though I have flown around them in small, single-engine fixed-wing aircraft. It must be nice to float without having to wear earphone/earmuffs to keep from losing one's hearing.

I went to the store after finishing all the items on my (not very ambitious, yet meaty) to-do list. Coming home, Galina and I spied some lovely clouds in the sky. Sure enough, by the time we got home, the spectacle had largely dissipated. What was left was captured in the next photo...

There sure was a mess of weather on the other side of those mountains.

Cheers...
