Oh, those poor trees...
Oct. 19th, 2002 09:31 pmThe day was spent mostly chasing paper. Tornado Notes is holding up well.
After the store closed, Galina and I went for a drive. We eventually ended up driving downtown, out toward Treasure Falls. The gold of the aspens was quite brilliant in the late afternoon light.
On the way back home, I passed up a chance to eat at a pricey downtown eatery called JJ's. Instead, I deluded myself into thinking I could get a good steak dinner (at a good price) at a place over on our side of town called the Hog's Breath Saloon.
I can be a chump, sometimes. I guess I am recalling the dinner I had there last year when Feht arranged a birthday celebration for his wife Maria. I'm now convinced the good memories were a consequence of the company and not the cuisine.
Still, it was good to get out.
Cheers...
