A pox on organizations that insist on forcing one of those cute phone numbers that spell a word or phrase (as in: 1-800-EAT-THIS) down your throat, without also indicating what the number is, in numbers.

I can dial numeric numbers without looking at the keypad. I must look at the keypad - with those tiny letters - to dial words.

Bah. Humbug.

Hey, I'm a-live!

Dinner at the kids was great. I enjoyed seeing Hunter, and the menu (Thai shrimp kabobs) hit the spot.

When I got home last night, though, I passed the computer without giving it a second glance and went to bed. I watched the last 40 minutes of so of L.A. Confidential, and drifted off to sleep around 9 pm.

I got up this morning and did the usual routine, getting home around 10:30 to work on the document due today. I could not keep my mind focused on the work, so I took a one-hour nap from noon to 1. I sent the finished piece around half an hour ago.

I am now caught up with my work. The next deadline is Saturday.

I should probably put in an appearance at the store.
