A day at the store...
Sep. 12th, 2003 05:25 pmIt's almost as if I've been working my way up to a full day at the store, but here I am. Drew went home shortly after UPS picked up for the day, and I'll follow him to his place for the fish fry once I close up.
There's nothing much to report, except that it looks as if I'll have to acquire a copy of Corel Draw 9 in order to do editing work on a Houston client's recently won contract. I'm looking at a copy on eBay right now, fully registerable, etc., but the bidding finishes in a little less than three hours. With no access from Drew's house, that might limit me one way or another.
I went to the ham breakfast this morning and had a pretty good time. Worms and viruses were a topic of conversation, and some of the folks agreed to use the recipient's ham call sign in the subject line as an authentication device. I noted that with such a system in place, any virus, worm, etc. that was received would have to be considered as deliberately sent. That got a laugh.
I'm going to go see if it's possible to snipe my way into that copy of Corel Draw.
Cheers...
