Just one more day of this assignment, and then there's Saturday and home on Sunday. I've got about 60 pages to edit tomorrow, along with a quick visit to the NASA flight medicine clinic to flash my forearm and demonstrate a negative reaction to the TB test.

I went this morning to do the blood draw and the urine specimen. On the way to the lab, I exchanged greetings with a nurse, who asked the standard "How're you doing." I replied with, "I'll be better in about three minutes," to which she noted, "Ah, a coffee drinker!"

Nope. Just the standard mammalian aversion to having a perfectly good section of skin punctured with a sharp, hollow device for the purpose of draining some blood.

Medical people are like the rich: they think differently from the rest of us.

Left work around 3:45 pm, stopped at home to pick up some of Natalie's workout clothes, and then picked her up at work and drove her downtown, the whole process taking almost two hours, not counting the trip home. We're expecting Natalie home any minute, delivered by Viet.

Galina and I didn't have much dinner, but we did end up watching Shangai Knights, which I found to be not as good as the original pairing of Chan and Wilson in the first movie, but then again, it's not as if we stopped watching the movie, despite the corny plot, cheesy dialog, and so-so action sequences.

In the meantime, it's time to get ready to retire for the night. I need to put in a full day tomorrow, and make sure I take work with me for next week.

Cheers...
