Murphy visits...
Jun. 13th, 2004 10:20 pmIt is somewhat comforting to know that some things are universal, such as what Russians call the закон подлости, which we Americans call Murphy's Law.
Everything has been going pretty well during this campaign, until today. To hear some pessimists around here, we've run across a situation that is a real show-stopper unless a solution is found, and fast.
The bottom line for me is that I've been pretty much on the go since 8:30 this morning, supporting activities at the pad and at the полтинник and am well and truly tired. However, based on what I heard transpire at a meeting that let out a couple of minutes ago, I get the feeling that sleep is still a far piece down the road.
Cryptic note to self: can you say "marginalize"?
I'm going to go splash some water on my face and break out my jacket. There was a fairly stiff, cold wind out on the tower today, with an ambient air temperature somewhere above 30°C. The sun is below the horizon now, and if the wind continues, the combined effects of the wind and lower night-time temperatures here in the desert will doubtless make that jacket handy.
Enough typing. Gotta go get ready for a long night.
Cheers...
