Another tranquil day...
Aug. 6th, 2004 05:25 pm...though I did get some more paper chased down, only to find that my insurance agent is out of town until next Wednesday.
I received the July issue of the ATA Chronicle, which contains my Wiki article. Between this article and the dictionary review scheduled for publication next month, I shall likely be pretty jazzed for the ATA conference in Toronto in October.
Which reminds me, I need to add "devise presentations" to my general to-do list.
Which also reminds me, I need to finalize plans for the Slavic Division's annual dinner at a restaurant up there; everyone I've spoken to has probably found new jobs by now.
Galina has signed us up to attend a 7 pm open-air concert out on a ranch located just this side of the Wolf Creek pass; she says attire is "dressy," which completely befuddles me. This is Pagosa; "dressy" can mean clean denim, if you get my drift.
If we stay out late, we may see a shooting star or two.
Drew mentioned seeing meteors pretty consistently the past few days without really looking for them, which may harbinger a better than average peak Perseid shower that's supposed to occur soon.
Cheers...
