More work... and a puzzle.

With 4600 source words of the Monday job still outstanding, I took on 4000 more words for today and tomorrow. Between blowing my nose (something's in the air again) and other distractions, I managed to finish and deliver the shorter of two documents in that 4000-word batch and have just finished the text of the rest of the job. I think I'll take it easy for the rest of the day and leave the checking and graphics work for tomorrow, when I can resume processing the Monday job.

I do have one major question in the translation I just finished, having to do with the fact that <understatement>I don't understand Ukrainian that well.</understatement>

The words at issue are: IСКРОБЕЗПЕЧНI КОЛА

I am 99%+ sure the first word is an adjective that much resembles its Russian cousin, искробезопасный (a.k.a. sparkproof or the widely accepted "intrinsically safe"), and is very likely plural or declined to reflect a feminine ending.

Кола confuses me. Referring to an Eng->Ukr online dictionary gets me "circle" or "circles." Looking up the Ukrainian for "circuit" (I'm pretty sure that's what it should be) does show кола in the entry, but in the sense of a "circuit" of the globe, with ланцюг, контур, and схема given for what appear to be electrical contexts.

As far as I can tell, this should be no biggie, at least for my editor.
